Plastic straws are ranked 6th in the top most difficult products to decompose and in the top 10 most commonly found waste when it comes to marine waste. As many as 8.3 billion plastic straws are polluting shorelines around world – According to research from Australian scientists and the American Marine Research Association in 2018.
Plastic straws take ages to decompose, and are difficult to recycle. Therefore, if we continue to use plastic straws as casually as we do today, soon the world will be engulfed in the garbage that we created.
Through a period of research and development, Soganic a subsidiary of SJC-Global Co.,Ltd was established with the mission of making environmentally friendly products more accessible to consumers, contributing in the reduction of plastic waste, thus protecting wildlife and the environment. Our core product is a natural grass straw made from Grey Sedge which we grow our selves.
Our farm is in Thai Binh province in the northeast of Vietnam, a coastal area in the Red River Delta. We cultivate our grass following sustainable and environmentally friendly farming practices. We are committed to bringing our customers the highest quality, safe products. Our crop is harvested and produced manually minimizing the environmental impact and carbon foot print, doing so creates long term, stable jobs for the locals.
